Come for the weekend. Leave a better person.
A nature-first wellness resort on 30 acres of cedar forest in Cedar Creek, twenty minutes from downtown Austin. Twelve stained-glass domes, a limestone pool fed by a 12-foot waterfall, and a garden that feeds the table.
Under construction now. Opening in phases.
Healthy ecosystems create healthy humans.
The idea The Heavens is built on.
Built inside a habitat, not on top of one.
Behind the ranch house there's a small bridge over the water. In a single week, a trail camera caught coyotes, skunks, and bobcats carrying rabbits across it, in the middle of the day.
It started as a place the founders lived. People came over for dinner. Then they started staying the weekend: going on the hikes, sitting around the fire with s'mores, and coming back a better person. What began as a home has become a community project, and an experience.
“The health of a species is the habitat made visible.”
Dan Mages, co-founder
The question the place keeps asking: what would it mean to become indigenous to place again?
Twelve domes. Twelve constellations.
Hand-built aircrete domes in a Spanish Neo-Gothic spirit — the first domed aircrete eco-luxury resort in the U.S.
Each dome carries handcrafted stained glass by Jim Berry of Blue Moon Glassworks, reclaimed cedar (down to the hand-carved cedar-slab sinks) and a sculptural, one-of-one interior. No two are alike, and each is named for the sky.
Virgo, Scorpio, Leo… and nine more, each one of one.
- Waterfall-front villas and studios that open onto the pool.
- Nature-preserve tents for glamping under the cedars.
200,000 gallons of limestone and light.
The largest all-natural beach-entry resort pool in Austin, anchored by a 12-foot waterfall.
Walk in from a limestone shore the way you'd wade into a creek. Rent a cabana for the day, come with a day pass, or fall asleep to the waterfall from a villa at the water's edge.
Oeste. The garden is the menu.
A garden-to-table restaurant in the converted ranch house.
Organic, non-GMO and seed-oil-free, with part of every plate grown right on the land in hand-built organic gardens, plus a juice and spirits bar. The team brings organic-kitchen experience from Old Coyote Cafe.
Gather under the open sky.
A 450-seat amphitheater, a yoga pagoda, and room for the moments people travel for.
